US Ceiling Corp.
USCamp Marketing Intern.
In the summer of 2020, I was a marketing intern at US Ceiling Corp in their USCamp program. US Ceiling is a NYS Certified M/WDBE subcontractor specializing in acoustical ceilings, drywall, insulation, air barrier systems, metal stud, and wood framing.
My role was to help execute internal and external communications and design materials for it; from social media posts, campaigns, ads, banners, newsletters, onboarding material, and videos to strengthen brand recognition and values. I also helped in redesigning and updating the US Ceiling website along with creating their sister company’s site.
Researching, Creating, and Updating the US Ceiling & USC Sites.

During my internship with US Ceiling, one of our main objectives was to revamp the existing website and develop a new one for their sister company, USC. To achieve this, we began by conducting a competitor analysis.
As a team, we extensively studied competitor websites, noting common characteristics that appealed to us. Based on our research, we created a comprehensive list of desired website features that served as a foundation for our design. Using the insights gathered, we sketched out some website prototypes that incorporated the desired features. We focused on creating a theme with a unique header media option that provided maximum flexibility for the site.
During the final week of the internship, I worked closely with my supervisor to bring the designs to life. We focused on making both websites visually appealing while maintaining a subtle distinction between the two, as requested by the company's president. We started by refining the existing US Ceiling website, rearranging content to fit the new theme, and integrating media elements. The color scheme aligned with the US Ceiling brand. For the USC website, we developed its content from scratch. We carefully crafted a message that was distinct from US Ceiling but still familiar. The content was then seamlessly integrated into the new theme with a two-column format, accompanied by the appropriate media elements.
Before publishing the websites, we conducted thorough checks for typos, broken links, and missing content to ensure a seamless user experience. By following this process, we successfully updated the US Ceiling website and developed a new website for USC, effectively fulfilling our goal during the internship.
